About Us
The GSRC is located in Room 309 of the Student Center Building. This room is part of the suite of Student Organization offices on the third floor. Our hours are 9am-6pm Monday-Friday approximately, as we work toward establishing the GSRC.
History:
The GSRC was founded during the Winter 08 semester by four representatives of three Wayne State University organizations: Lindsey Snoes of the Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance, Madison Marcus of Students for Choice, and Katrina Fenton and Philip McDonald of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and Allies (GLBTA) Student Union. This endeavor was made possible in part due to an Undergraduate Research Creative Project Grant from the Office of Undergraduate Research. Its continuation has been made possible by the steadfast support of the involved student organizations, the Dean of Students Office, and faculty advisor John Corvino, PhD. You can find a copy of the original GSRC project proposal here.
